Air NORTH was founded in 1960 by staff members of Newcastle Airport, and today, as then, we aim to record the history of aviation in the North-East and North-West of England.

Our members receive a monthly magazine which is full of information regarding local aviation. The core of the magazine is un-paralleled monthly coverage of Newcastle Airport, adding to a historical archive available nowhere else. The region's smaller airfields and landing strips feature too, with news of local fly-ins and airshows. A comprehensive military section is included, not only recording past events but giving dates of future deployments and airshows, while a major part of the magazine is the publication of members' articles, offering a great read on a diverse range of aviation subjects.
